Doug Helmer

    Senior Pastor, Harvest Indianapolis-West, IndianaDoug served as an assistant pastor for five years before planting Harvest Indianapolis-West. He owned a business for 21 years before moving into vocational ministry. Doug has a bachelor’s degree in business marketing from Indiana University and a Masters of Divinity from Baptist Bible Seminary in Clarks Summit, PA. He is working on a Doctorate of Ministry at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL.

    Doug and his wife, Karen, were married in 1984.  Karen has completed her Masters in biblical counseling from The Masters College in Clarita, California.  Their two children are married. Luke lives with his wife, Kayla, in the Indianapolis area and is working on his screenwriting and film career.  Emily lives with her husband, Kurt, in the Washington DC area.
