Milan Praja

    Pastor, Harvest Makwanpur, Nepal

As a young man in a Hindu family, Milan had many troubles at home. Two of his sisters died from serious illnesses and his mother had been sick for most of his youth. He was angry at the gods, refusing to make the required sacrifices and visits to the temple.

A man came to their region to share the Gospel and he visited Milan’s home. He left a booklet that explained God’s plan for salvation. Milan poured over the verses and after some time accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Since that time, God accomplished many miracles in the family including bringing them all to a saving knowledge of Christ and healing his mother.

Having been a pastor for a few years, but disappointed in the condition of the church in Nepal, he began working with Pastor Timothy of Harvest Bible Chapel Kathmandu to advance the Gospel in the Makwanpur District. Milan finished the Nepali Harvest Training Center for Church Planting curriculum. Milan says, “We are teaching our people to Worship, Walk and Work for Christ as we learn the Scriptures.” He transitioned the existing fellowship of more than seventy believers to Harvest Bible Chapel on October 23, 2011. Milan is married to Pavitra; they have two children.
