Antonio Munoz

Senior Pastor, Harvest Mexico City, Mexico

Antonio was born in Mexico City. He was raised in the Catholic Church and at age 16 was preparing to become a priest.  He thought he already knew everything about Jesus, but when invited by his brother to a Bible study, he quickly realized that he didn’t know Jesus the way the men in the study knew Him. Three months he later, he placed his faith in Christ alone for salvation. During the next several years, his mother, father, sister, and 87-year-old grandmother trusted in Christ as well. In 1994, at a youth retreat, the Lord called him into full-time ministry. He began his ministry education at Puebla Bible Seminary and as co-pastor at Iztapalapa Bible Church. In 1998 he moved to Chicago where he completed a B.A. at Moody Bible Institute. While in Chicago he started a Spanish-speaking church at Armitage Baptist Church. In 2001, Antonio and his family moved to Dallas where he earned a Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary while shepherding the Spanish congregation at Scofield Memorial Church.

Following graduation, Tlalpan Bible Church (where he was saved and met his wife) invited the Muñoz family to return to Mexico City and Antonio was installed as Senior Pastor in September 2005. Over the next six years the congregation grew from 70 to 250 worshippers, but Antonio felt he needed the vision, encouragement and training that Harvest Bible Fellowship could provide.  On September 4, 2011, the church was re-planted as Iglesia Bíblica La Cosecha – Mexico (Harvest Bible Chapel – Mexico).

Antonio and Becky were married in 1997.  In 2004 they were blessed to adopt their daughter, Jessica.
