Hayden left the Catholic church at the age of 18 and joined the Navy. He was saved during his military service. A burden to teach God’s Word quickly grew and developed after being chosen to teach onboard on Sunday mornings. Finding that men were growing, as was he, Hayden had opportunity to do a lot of crisis-counseling; after a long deployment he entered seminary.
He was Vice Principle of Grace Community School while attending The Master’s Seminary. He then served as the youth pastor of a church in Michigan before taking on his current role of Senior Pastor. Hayden connected with Harvest Bible Fellowship in 2010 while pastoring a church in Micanopy, FL. He re-launched as Harvest Gainesville in 2011 and is focused on maturing and sending forth disciples of Christ to make a significant impact on the region’s 50,000 University of Florida students.
Hayden is married to Heather and they have two children: Ben and Susanna.
