Matt grew up in Iowa and was saved at age 14, after which he quickly sensed the desire to be involved in full-time ministry. Matt found himself continuously witnessing to people and desiring to share God's Word. Mentors, friends, and his parents affirmed his aspirations for ministry.
Matt attended Faith Baptist Bible College, where the Lord honed and developed his spiritual gifts, and exposed him to the concept of church planting. His desire was sparked to learn more and ultimately plant a church himself.
Though various roles as a counselor, program director, worship leader, youth pastor, and interim pastor, Matt was given many fruitful opportunities to minister the Word and see lives transformed. He met his wife Miranda when he took a position at her home church in Gallipolis, Ohio. The couple is expecting their second child in May 2012.
Matt and Miranda are excited to be a part of the ministry of Harvest and hope to raise up more Harvest churches in the greater Philadelphia area that will reach the city with the gospel and transform lives for the glory of God.
